Asian Media Access (AMA) joined the Chinese American Chamber of Commerce – MN and MN Hmong Chamber of Commerce to host the first-ever Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Business Expo on May 14, 2022 at the Metropolitan State University.

With more than 80+ exhibitors, 500+ registered attendees, and 19 workshop/networking sessions, AAPI Business Expo successfully engaged area micro businesses and start-ups to have a strong grasp of successful business practices. SBA Great Lake Region Director Geri Sanchez Aglipay flew in from Chicago to deliver the keynote speech, along with a strong presence of local SBA office at the Exhibition area.

In the morning, AMA hosted a “Diverse Communication Styles” session for business owners through a bicultural lens. Our partner Khoo Consulting also presented a session – “Marketing, Communicating and Story Telling,” to assist participants in using the story-telling framework to create a marketing plan. During the Luncheon Presentation, Dr. Bruce Corrie reflected a strong trend for Asian Economy in Minnesota, which is worth $450+ billion.

In the afternoon, AMA again led the session of diverse financing options in presenting the Asian American Lending Circle Project. Later, the highlight of the day was the unique  Speed Coaching with diverse AAPI experts from Marketing, Financing, Taxes and Accounting fields, to support the attendees with short but effective tips.

Finally, the Expo closed with congratulatory speeches from the MN Governor Walz via video, MN State Senator Pratt, along with Hmong Chamber Executive Director Yao Yaj, a perfect end for this successful event!!! For more information: https://aapibusinessexpo.com/
