Happy Hmong New Year

MN Hmong New Year returns to the St. Paul RiverCentre as the 43rd MN Hmong New Year Celebration during the thanksgiving weekend.

Saint Paul is home to the country’s largest Hmong population. The Hmong New Year Celebration brings the Hmong community together from far and near to join the new year festivities as well as showcasing the UNITY among diverse Hmong clans. Hmong dress in traditional clothing and enjoy Hmong traditional foods, dance, music, ball-tossings, and other forms of entertainment. One of our AMA Youth Leaders – Nancy Thor (Stage Name: NewSONG), has been featured as the new generation of Hmong-American female artist and performed during the New Year.

There was over 32,000 strong whom attended the weekend celebration. This event has truly transformed from just a Hmong cultural event to a part of Minnesota’s culture.
